Personally I use atmaxx's v2 from Aslain's pack. It is simply crosshair now, with no other changes. Do note that the crosshair no longer gives you that camera. The rainbow crosshair mod, because it extends it a smidge, and it's super pretty and nice to look at. I wish the advance scope offered the same lines, it just seems to have been made to look futuristic. The unzoomed crosshair is excellent, and the lines when zoomed in are not too distracting. The preview for it is false as it no longer changes how the camera functions, but the extra lines help me line up shots more easily on targets moving at odd angles.

I guess I just got used to the vanilla gun sight, and using the others I can't judge my lead correctly.

In WoT, installing Jimbo's Crosshair mod was an eye-opening experience.
